Western Kentucky University: In order to be considered for academic merit and targeted awards, students must be admitted to WKU by January 15, 2017 and submit a separate scholarship application at www.wku.edu/topdollar before February 1, 2017. Students wishing to apply for the Cherry Presidential Scholarship and/or admission to WKU Honors College should be admitted by November 15, 2016 and submit the Cherry Presidential application by December 1, 2016. The TopDollar Scholarship Portal also allows students to apply for scholarships funded by the WKU College Heights Foundation through a single application.

The Horatio Alger Scholarhip: Application deadline--October 25. Must demonstrate critical financial need. At the University of Louisville: Kentucky Dataseam is a scholarship program for students attending high schools in coal severance counties that participate in the Kentucky Dataseam Initiative. Ten $2,000 renewable scholarships will be awarded each year. Students must:
- Meet University of Louisville’s admission standards
- Pursue a degree in education, engineering, or science-related field
- Demonstrate interest in mathematics, sciences, or engineering as expressed by high school curriculum and participation in science clubs and related activities
- Maintain a 3.0 college GPA for renewal and continue pursuit of math, science, or engineering-related field.

UK-Felix E. Martin, Jr. Scholarship: must be planning to attend the UK Gatton College of Business and Economics to pursue an undergraduate degree.
